NEVER pay for anything with a CHECK or CASH unless you know for sure that business is trustworthy and legitimate! Say bye bye to your $! There is no recourse once you drop the bank roll! You will have to "take them to court" Oh boy! Most all states require Suppliers to have the following:
#1 - An active clean business license! (you can go online in the county the business or person is operating in and check online)!
#2 - Each state should have a consumer affairs department, in which there is a special license for "Bureau of Appliance Repair"! For example in California has BEAR department that keep track of all persons in that field of business! It's basically a "Registry for Liability", for keeping track of would be "Swindlers"! Click here (example) > BEAR<
#3 - Each legitimate business supplier is required to have a> "Resale License"< in their home state regardless even if you are out of state or NOT!! (example > Verify a Permit, License, or Account<)
There may be more required than these permits/licenses in each state in order to do business. Please check with your department of "Consumer Affairs" online or by phone!
